Study Abroad Scholarships

Scholarships for 2022-2023 academic year are now closed.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers one scholarship available for students who study and/or travel abroad during their academic career at Arizona State University. The intent of this scholarship is to provide students with a better understanding of international relations through experiencing different cultures and other ways of living.

Criteria

Criteria for study abroad scholarship

Recipients must meet the following:

  • Undergraduate student with a declared major in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
  • Have a minimum of sophomore status and at least 12 credit hours earned at ASU.
  • Use scholarship for travel abroad-related expenses in the following year.
  • There is no residency requirement.

This scholarship is awarded with a preference for students enrolled in international programs sponsored by the university and programs lasting three months or more in duration.

Alumni International

Alumni International Scholarship

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Leadership Council created the Alumni International Scholarship in honor of former Dean Gary S. Krahenbuhl. For the 2022-2023 academic year, one scholarship of approximately $500 will be available.

Specific criteria:

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.20.
  • Primary consideration will be on merit.
  • May be required to write a report and make a presentation to the council following travels.
