Our academic advisors can help you learn to thrive

If you want a successful college experience, it’s important to stay in touch with your academic advisor – even before you arrive on campus in the fall. You can ask your advisor questions about a variety of topics, including schedule changes, your degree audit, AP/IB scores, dual enrollment credits and your major requirements. In addition, your advisor can help you find a variety of involvement opportunities to enrich your education such as:

Join a CLAS Block to adjust socially and academically

In the fall semester, you can join a CLAS Block – a cluster of students who share a common schedule. It’s a great way to meet new friends as you adjust to university life. You’ll be able to improve your study habits with review sessions as you learn about the importance of academic integrity and student engagement.

Success coaching

Are you concerned about the challenges that go along with being a freshman? Are you a good student who wants to be a better student? If so, you should consider connecting with a first-year success coach.

Academic support

ASU offers many different kinds of academic support, from subject-specific tutoring to supplemental instruction. You’ll also have access to in-person and online writing tutoring. Check out all your options.
