First-generation Scholarships

Students who are the first in their families with an opportunity to earn a college degree are twice as likely to leave school before their sophomore year, are more dependent on financial aid and are more likely to be employed while attending school. These scholarships support students by easing financial pressure, allowing first-generation students to focus on academics and participate in campus activities. One-third of the freshmen at ASU are first-generation college students.

Department and School Scholarships

Most academic units in the college have less than $10,000 in scholarships each year to recognize deserving students. These scholarships support students in degree programs throughout the college. Support for existing scholarships help increase the annual scholarship amounts awarded to students.
