Accelerated Degrees (4 + 1)

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences' accelerated degree programs, also known as 4+1 programs, are designed to allow ASU undergraduate students to earn combined bachelor's and master's degrees in a short amount of time and add interdisciplinary components to a student's training. Students usually apply during their junior year, and once admitted, begin taking master's degree course requirements in a particular field during their senior year of their undergraduate program.

During their fifth year, students complete all of their master's requirements. In order to apply, students must be in good academic standing and applications must be directly submitted to the school or department offering the accelerated program.
