The Salvic studies minor focuses on Slavic languages and cultures with a concentration in either Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian or Polish. It is designed to complement the studies of students from a wide range of disciplines (e.g., history, cultural anthropology, music, political science, economics) whose professional interests lie in Poland or the countries of southeastern Europe. The program places equal emphases on language, culture and regional studies. The minor develops limited professional linguistic proficiency in either BCS or Polish along with adequate cultural sensitivity.
