First-Year Programs

To help you ease into life as a university student and get the most out of your freshman year, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers several programs designed to provide a "small-college" experience in the midst of a large metropolitan university setting. These programs provide ample opportunity for small-group discussion and interaction, making it easy for you to form bonds with other new students and with some of the college's best faculty.
