Welcome to CLASWorks!

Although academic issues are occupying your thoughts right now, it's never too early to begin your "Career Management." CLASWorks is a program designed to help you manage your career during your entire time at ASU.

To get started, here are some career planning steps:

	Assess your interests and choose a major. Most career fields don't require a specific major, so choose one based on your interests. For help exploring your options make an appointment with Doug DeVoe in Career Services by calling (480) 965-2350
	Investigate Careers. Learn as much as you can about the career fields that interest you. Make an appointment with Doug DeVoe, Career Services, at (480) 965-2350 to find out more information on specific careers. "REGISTER" with Career Services to take advantage of their career e-mails and view opportunities coming to campus.
	Build your skills. Learn which skills you need to develop that are required in your career interest area, then locate courses and experiences that provide opportunities to improve on them.
	Get experience. Work part time, volunteer or intern in your intended field to determine whether it is right for you and to enhance your competetive advantage in the job market. For assistance in this area, please call to schedule an appointment with Michele Daley at (480) 965-3819.
