Choosing a Law School
Intro
The decision regarding to which law schools the student should apply is a very personal one and thus will vary considerably from applicant to applicant. Students should take their own preferences into account when evaluating a school, considering such characteristics as size, selectivity, cost, special programs, and so on.
Law school admissions personnel are usually happy to provide information to prospective applicants. Take the opportunity to meet with representatives from law schools around the country by visiting schools you may be interested in.
In addition, you can learn more about different law schools at the ASU Law School Fair , held each fall semester in the Memorial Union.
Visit the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and US News and World Report's Best Graduate Schools sites for further information.
As you begin to establish your list of potential law schools, be sure to consider how each school matches your academic, career placement, economic, and geographic expectations.
See the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) site for further information about choosing a law school.
