CLAS Alumni Leadership Council
We are currently recruiting new members for the CLAS Alumni Leadership Council. If you are interested in shaping college alumni activities then get connected!
As a volunteer for the CLAS alumni council, you will provide an ongoing identification with ASU by creating opportunities for alumni to share social, cultural, professional and intellectual experiences. And through these efforts, you will be supporting students as they strive to fulfill their educational dreams.
We are looking for individuals who have passion for ASU and a commitment to serving the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at a leadership level. The Council works to enhance communication with alumni, to implement critical scholarship programs for current and future students, and to sponsor a variety of programs that help reconnect alumni with ASU and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Members of the Council will participate in the college and realize such objectives through the following activities:
-Act as liaisons, where appropriate, for disseminating information about the college’s activities to the alumni community at large.
-Present advice from the college’s external community on the enhancement of the college’s alumni programs.
-Participate in fundraising efforts to support CLAS students, both by personal example and through donation of time in service on development.
-Identify others in the community who may be interested in alumni programs of the college.
-Provide influential leadership.
It is expected that the CLAS Leadership Council will meet 6 times per year, with an additional summer planning retreat. Groups may meet additional times as needed to achieve group goals. Throughout the year, college programs and events will be made available for council member participation. Each member serves a four year term.
